nickers Posted July 15, 2011 Report Share Posted July 15, 2011 as the title says the alternator stopped charging the battery yesterday. i started the car in the morning it was working, then stopped it, worked on it for a bit and when i turned it back on it was no longer working. i didnt touch any existing wiring i just ran my 0 gauge from the battery terminals into the car. big 3 is done, all grounds are good, stock and 0 gauge power wires secured. what could be the problem? help is appreciated. chevrolet all day er day. nickers Posted July 15, 2011 Author Report Share Posted July 15, 2011 ive taken it to autozone they are a bunch of jagaloons they said it wasnt working after i put a new regulator and bearing in it, i took it home put it in and it ran 14.7 volts. this was a couple of months ago however its ran strong at 14.5-7 volts even up to yesterday. chevrolet all day er day.
