I know it looks like crap but it's just a quick rough draft of what I was thinking (They look like ovals because I was trying to compensate for the angle of the photo) Would putting a sub there that's going to be 1k RMS brake the back window with the vibration? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
skittlesRgood Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 good job in making them ovals lol. its realistic. no, it wont break the glass lol. the only way i would do this would be to cut out a 15" hole so the sub can fall through it. build a box underneath it with several rings to raise up to the rear deck. mount the sub to that. the metal on the deck isnt straight at all and wont make a good mounting spot. tonedeaf Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 The only way ive seen this idea work well was a build where the owner completely cutout the rear deck and made his own out of mdf. He was somewhere on the site a ways back and it was very impressive. Otherwise I think it would honestly be too much of a PITA to do unless you're gonna do it right.

optical Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 You would have to most likly cut and add mdf + support. Is there a reason you want to do this? Do you need your trunk space or just wanting to try something new?
