12voltz+- Posted October 20, 2007 Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 well i have a 1999 ford 4 dr escort and i wanna get louder ..... i was planing on walling it off with 2 18 mts but im not sure f that will get me to where i want. i would really like to hit 155 db but i know it will cost alot and require alot of hard work im no newib lol ... so what im thinking is possibly walling it off or doing like a minni clam and putting like 6 15 or 8 12 or more if i can fit but idk what do you guys think would be best ...... whats mead doing in his civic ?153??? and i dont think i can top what hes makein them mts put out so i dont know how close ill come to 155.... also thisis ground pounder DD not a fart car i dont know if i will even be able to make that car be able to get that loud lol any help is great !_ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Alot of long nights went into doing the burb and honestly I couldnt have done it with out the help of my buddy Jerry (owns the shop) He has been doing the spl thing way longer than I! I would reccomend starting with some of the more budget priced subs (not necessarily cheap ones) like some T1 15's or along that line and throwing some decent power to them. Each wall/clamshell type project is different from the next. See what you have room for and what your budget will allow and start there. Be sure to keep us posted on the progress too!
