Right now im looking at a sundown 2500D. 2500 watts at 1ohms, so thats close to 2000 at 1.5, correct? the saz-2500d is underrated. @2ohm it is supposed to do 1200wrms and with box rise i am @2.94ohm (just under 3 ohm)and clamped 1660wrms to my 1 12" mayhem. i would get the sundown 2500. 03 Santa Fe E A 200 amp alt,JVC AVX840,kenwood 6.5 fr speakers,eclipse 6.5 rears,mids/high amp XTA-2160, sub amp XTA-5000d,0 guage throughout,batts-front/1 batcap 2000,rear/ batcap4000,2 C&D Dynasty agms, subs 2 DC XL M1 15"s in a music box tuned to 28hz....for now. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. actafool4187 Posted December 1, 2011 Report Share Posted December 1, 2011 So a Crossfire VR1000D is fine for a 12" W7? My JL e1800D just messed up and I have the Crossfire on it now. Sounds fine, but it is on full gain to get the same power as the JL amp had. I have a buddy trying to tell me it's not 1.5 ohm stable and can fry a voice coil or the amp. That doesn't sound right to me, especially after reading this. Woo!
