Sinosic Posted October 22, 2007 Report Share Posted October 22, 2007 just got a used deh-p8500mp and there is no sound unless the volume is full blast, even then its faint. scratching/staticee/crackling sounds coming from the speakers. any ideas? Sinosic Posted October 22, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 22, 2007 might have your speakers wired in reverse. i was thinging the same thing. so i just got done hooking the head unit to a battery and hooked up a speaker and same problem. so i disonected all the wires but left yellow red black and the white and white w/strip for the speaker. same problem . i did notice that only the white wires puts out faint sound when at full tilt, all the other speaker lines have no sound at all. i got burnt im thinking the internal amp inside the deck is fried.
