MrGeo Posted July 25, 2011 Report Share Posted July 25, 2011 My friend is building a box for two AudioQue HDC3 12"s off of an AQ2200 tuning needs to be ~32 hz, maybe a little lower it's going into the back of a Honda CRV, preferably subs up and port up box will be made out of MDF we are noobs so we need a cut sheet as well, please! dimensions: left to right: 41" front to back: 29" top to bottom: 37" thanks for your help! fecupe2001 Posted July 25, 2011 Report Share Posted July 25, 2011 I dunno about subs up/port up on tht car, maybe you need to wait for a good input from someone tha has played a lot with those cars before, i only did a 4 12´s subs up/port back box in a 2009 CRV and worked VERY nice!! About the subs, they are D1 or D2?? Now, the box, i guess something like 4-4.3c/f and around 60SQ of port should work, but i might be wrong on this one since i haven´t use the AQ hdc3 , i have used the DD 3512 tho wich is very similar, anyways, i would do this, since Torres works nice and people seems to love it, i´ll post you a pic of it : I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. RAM_Designs Posted July 25, 2011 Report Share Posted July 25, 2011 I'd tune a little higher unless the subs have been played quite a bit, like a year. Until the suspension really loosens up, it's not going to like a low tuning like 30hz too much. With their stiff suspension you'll still have good extension into the 20's.
