2 18's in a 92 Honda Prelude

Recommended Posts

car is sexy as fuck very clean :good:

coming from someone who is mopar or no car. :P

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

lower this bitch

Oh i will sooner or later :P

cool build man...but Id agree, you would DEFINITELY want to get some upgraded suspension for it. stock prelude height is around 5.5" as it is (yours looks a little higher than that). with that kind of weight going in it though, your looking at scraping ground.

Even with all my gear and stuff in it i still have like an inch of clearance in between the tire and the fender so i think I'll be good for now 8)

Thank you! I've spent countless hours on this thing

Just curious, your walling the 18's right?

Nope! The box is only going up to the side windows :peepwall:

Sexy dude. Love me some preludes. I like the box body style though. :pardon:

Should get loud. :good:

I love the body style too! I just remembered i have a picture of my car next to my friends 5th gen prelude. I also have a question to ask the members of SMD. whats the best way to not get flex on certain body panels? I have body mud in spots and Ive seen people use 2x4 and glue it to the panel to make it stop but I don't know..

Nice 5th...favortie lude by far. As for stopping flex, the only way to reduce flex is by adding reinforcement. This is done by adding wood/steel/support bracing/etc to actually reinforce it. Sound deadening really wont help any flex, although it can a tiny bit, it still keeps them from resonating as much.

Damn!Looking good and you got a h22 to pull the weight around!!Yeah lower it and you'd be gravy you can order groundcontrol coilovers and do custom spring rates to make up for the weight in the back..

Would expanding foam also work? Or would that be more for mass loading like with MLV?

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.
