LoudBimmer
Hello i'm trying to remove scratches, which are small/medium. What's the correct way to do it? wash/polish/wax? Which polishes are there that actually work? My hood got a lot of chips from rocks, how can i fix it?
nautical7
There is stuff you can pick up at autozone to help, like Meguiars (I believe) ScratchX, Swirl Remover and/or 3M Scratch Remover and many more. I would also not recommend wet sanding the car if you have no experience in doing so, but if you feel adventurous feel free but try it on some extra parts you may have lying around before hand. Can you feel the rock chips with your nail or are they lighter? Edited July 30, 2011 by nautical7

I have tried scratch remover before, but it didn't help.

You need to get the grey foam pad along with it though. Then I use this with the blue pad, http://www.amazon.com/3M-Perfect-Ultrafine-Machine-Polish/dp/B0015PMQDI This to step will take out all the swirls. Best stuffs I have used. Done many cars with it as well.
