00G Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 I have a chance to buy several gel cell batteries for cheap. They have never been used, but they have been sitting around about 3 years. I don't have the abilty to move them all to have them load tested. My meter shows all of the voltages are between 12.3-12.4 Volts. Is this a safe buy? Thanks Everyone,

kirill007 Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 Test how fast their voltage drops with a decent load attached to it. No need to test all if 2-3 work they should all be ok... But before you buy them, what brand are they? and model? Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
00G Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Posted July 31, 2011 There's no way I can do anymore testing on them. The guy already has all sorts of people hot on them. While I was there 3 people came and looked at them. The batteries are Northstar's Model: NSB 130FT
