billy101
Well? I have my headunit in my bedroom right now, I performed the RCA Grounding "fix" and will check it out tomorrow morning when I wake up. Can't do it now, my parents room is right next to the garage, and my car is in the garage. i had the same problem with my kenwood i got the ground loop things from ebay cleaned it right up i decide to do that because it the wires came loose off my rcas and fell off and i had to take my radio out again it prolly wouldnt get done for a while lol im a lazy mexican Good stuff man. As I said above, I did the "fix" but even if it does fix it, I'm going to stop at my radioshack after work and pick up two of the ground loop isolators. Thanks for your input guys! kickass audio
Just so you are aware, ground loop isolators arent a 100% guarantee to fix your whine you are hearing. They help but dont eliminate all the noise. billy101
Welp, put the headunit in with the grounded RCAs and the problem is now completely gone! Also seems to help the little bit of fuzzy sound I had before this all happened! Thanks for your help guys, I REALLY appreciate it. Looks like I have to go back to bestbuy and return those RCAs. Again, thanks a ton! Quote First System 2002 Impala LS 3.8L V6, 128,365k miles. Alternator: DC Power 190Amp H/O Alternator Headunit: Kenwood KDC-BT945U. Speakers: MBQuart 6.5" Comps, 6x9 3-way. CaptainzPlanetz
Glad you got it fixed and don't use ground loop isolators they take away a good bit of your pre-out voltage from my xp, and result in you having to up your gain to compensate, and to me they seemed to take away from the punch from the music. The HU ground is the best route over the Isolator. Quote ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............
