I just see that picture posted any time someone mentions lambo doors on almost any forum. WillPwn4Food Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 Few things to think about... Are you putting them on yourself? To have a shop do it just for labor could cost anywhere between 800-1200. If you're doing it yourself, unless you have a great knowledge for bodywork/welding, buy a bolt-on vehicle-specific hinge... NOT a universal. Universal lambo door hinges (Like mine) take alot of cutting, drilling, and welding to get them on. If you do it wrong, you have to break the welds and start over. If your hinge is off even a fraction of a centimeter, or tilted off even 1 degree, your door isn't going to shut right. First person in my area to try them screwed his truck up severely. His doors won't open. He has to crawl through the window. No shit. They also take a bit of maintenance if you have a stereo. Most (If not all) have two screws that you adjust to modify how high/low the door drops, so that it shuts correctly. If you have a sub, it will rattle the screw and wiggle it loose, making you have to readjust the screw every couple of days. Also, when buying a kit, I'd suggest buying an extra set of gas shocks. Preferably rated for 300lbs. Just thought I'd warn you on a few things. Lambo doors really aren't made to be everyday type things. They really are for show. Now as far as where to buy... Check in your area. Any kind of body shop that does custom body work like that could have some you can order through their manufacturer. As far as websites.... Andy's Autosports is where I buy all my stuff. I think they have a few. Not sure what cars they do or do not have them for, however. Verticaldoors.com is a popular one. I've heard they have really shitty customer service, though. Amazon is where I got mine. Think the hinges ended up coming from vertical doors anyways. Your best bet is to google lambo door hinges, look at a website you think you like, and google the website to see what people say about it. Good luck in advance.
