bassrace Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 (edited) Well im thinking about cutting out my rear deck of my car (the spot by the rear window) of my camry. My idea is to face my subs and port up towards the window through the spot I cut out. Anyone done this on here? Im curious as to how this will sound. Im thinking its worth a try but I dunno. Any ideas? Maybe subs firing through where my back seats let down and port up? Help please! bassrace Posted August 8, 2011 Author Report Posted August 8, 2011 you want to cut out hte whole thing or just port through it. Well if i port through it i could use the 6by9 holes. But I really want to cut the whole thing out and put the subs/port up toward the back window. I will reinforce what I cut out I just dont know if its worth it(as in if it will be louder) which there are no garuntees in spl I know but, Im curious and really thinking about doing it. n8ball2013 Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 heres the thing. In some cars the rear deck helps provide some structural integrity. You cut it out and who knows what would happen. I know in my cavalier I was talking about doing it and many many people squashed that for me when thye told me about that. tonedeaf Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Was thinking the same thing n8, but ive also seen people make new rear decks out of mdf and such...would be pretty kickass if you could keep the integrity and strength and have the rear deck like you want. Quote

It is my DailyDriver though so..hmmm...
