Car and box tuning?

This is probably something that is really easy to find out but I dont really understand how the tuning stuff works. How do you tune a box and how do you know what your car is tuned to?

to find your cars resonant frequency you use a sealed box and measure the spl at different frequencies. to tune the box i prefer to use torres box calculator. now connecting those two to make a loud car like all the experts here do, i dont know

is there a link to where i can find out how to measure that, because i have no idea how to do that and i dont have extra boxes just laying around. I only have the one that i have my subs in right now and its ported. I have no idea what the specs are for my box because I bought the subs and box from a guy after it had already been built. All he told me about the box was that it was tuned and made for two 12" Memphis Mojos and that's what i have in there now. I would like to build a CRX style box but everytime i ask about it on here everyone says i need to know that and other things (ie: electrical,what vehicle its going into, area i have to work with, what my car is tuned to, what i want the box tuned to, and all the rest of my equipment). I'm not really sure what all everything is because i am most deffinately a n00b to car audio.
