doughboi916 Posted October 26, 2007 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 my buddy blew a 12in type r, so i cut out the cone,spider,coil and left the surround, and im hella board so i thought it would be cool to try and build a custom sub?? i was thinking about gettin a empty toilet paper role,winding up some wire glue it to a paper plate and gluing the plate to the surround and BOOM!!! custome speaker. ????????????? think ill wrk? brb imma try it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Forevrbumpn Posted October 27, 2007 Report Share Posted October 27, 2007 ell, you will want to use an aluminum can as a VC former, then use Magnet wire, about 24 gauge would probably work with that subs motor, possibly wind the wire in to a fishing reel, and find a way to get the fishing reel to wind the wire on to the alum former.... I see your in 916, Iam in Carmichael, I will let you have some coils, and cones to mess with I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes.
