help tune my box

ok i have come up with a couple designs. and i built this one for now..

i would like to tune it in the 32-40 hz range... or if there is a better range for this speaker. please reccomend

subs 2 kicker L7 12 " its what i can afford and already have..

box is 4.93 sf w 30.5 d 22.5 h 15.5 outer dimensions .. made of

3/4 MDF

i cant use 6 inch ports.. none around here for me to get.. so i am limited to 4" aeros

i drew a quick pick to show where the ports need to face out..sry dimensions on the pick are inner measurements.

how many and how long of ports/ or what is best for these speakers..

just some extra info.. i have a single preefab box made by kicker for the l7 12.. that has 1 round port 5" id 11" long

Does this mean you already have the box made and you're going to modify it to make the ports fit?

And please post the pic you said you drew, I assume the ports are going to be external?

To be honest with you, I think instead of trying to modify the existing box, you could just start a new one... It would be a lot easier.

But either way, anything is "do-able"

sorry here is the dimensions of the outer box..

i had to build it in the car because its in a hatch with limited space.

i am going to modify this box for the ports.

the subs have to be facing up and the ports facing towards the cabin

ok i was looking over this and i know i dont know how to tune a box.. but i was wondering if i add all 4 ports will my air space for the subs be way less now?? i know the sub needs a minimum of 1.75 - 3.25 max each .. so i need a minimum of 3.5 sqf or air space for 2 subs..

should i build the box bigger or stick with this? if i build the box bigger i have enough space for 1 more sqf

the new max size box i can fit would be height 15.5 width 36 depth 22.5 giving me a inner 5.87
