Wassalla
I bought a dc level 3 15 d2 and had a sudden realization when i was shopping for amps. see i already have a brand new p300-1 that puts out about 400w rms at 2 ohms. Now my question is, if i got another one, could i power each voice coil individually?
DCmagnum
That's dangerous because both amps have to have the identical output ....not just gain set at half on both....but metered to exact output. Even then its ify. I'd say no Quote ="Impact"] pioneer 4200 dvd 4 sets aa carbon mids 2 sets rockford power t1 tweeters rockford power t400.4 rockford power 4inch DC 175.4 DC 3.5k (soon to be 2) 2 DC XL 15s The artist formally known as willie3719
CleanSierra
You can gain match them to the same input voltage with a DMM. Is that not correct? Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
DCmagnum
It is but if I remember correctly the impedance raise still causes issues. CJ18
I would get a single amp to power the sub.

I've done it before, gain matching each amplifier with no problems. Quote 2000 zx2: Rebuild with 8 12s on a 10k underway!! MY BUILD LOG
