theTank77 Posted August 27, 2011 Report Share Posted August 27, 2011 also when was the last time you ran fuel system cleaner in your truck? the mesh on the fuel pump might be clogged too. do this before you spend a whole bunch of time dropping the tank and doing all that. go fill up your tank, buy a can of seafoam, dump it in. and let it sit overnight. then in the morning drive it for a lil while 5-10 miles and see if that makes a difference. my build log Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

EBW Posted August 27, 2011 Report Share Posted August 27, 2011 You can check for a leaky vac line with starting fluid just spray the lines when the motor revs up/down you have found the leak test by spraying some into the intake first so you know what your listening for, and if your head gaskets are bad you would have oil in the water or water in the oil, lots of smoke from the tail pipe or excessive oil leaking down the block. either way it would probably overheat, do you hear a creaking noise coming from the pass side of the dash?
