DeathByBass Posted August 27, 2011 Report Share Posted August 27, 2011 (edited) My amp keeps blowing fuses it has been hooked up for over a year no problems then it started blowing fuses everytime I give it power. The amp goes to a boat so it could be from the bouncing around maybe messed up the internals . Wicks Posted November 15, 2011 Report Share Posted November 15, 2011 Hard to tell without a schematic, but it looks like one of the power supply FETs are shorted. Causes a large current draw when you connect power to the amp, hence blown fuses. Needs a pro to troubleshoot and repair. The FET could be swapped but its hard to tell what caused it.
