Johny B
Hey I just got a Viper 5901 installed in my 91 BMW and its really not that sensative. I have the sensitivity at 15. I was wondering if there's an option to make it more sensative (I have to kick my car real hard in order for the car to chirp). I don't want the approx sensor because I heard it goes off a lot and I live in busy apartments and there's a lot of cats so don't want to bug my neighbors. But I want it to chirp if let's say someone opens their door too wide and hits my car or if someone sits in the hood. Would moving the module help or should I get an add on? That1Kid
You can get additional shock sensors. You should get the Glass-Break sensor. And a battery back-up unit. bignickk
Your brain is mounted too secure. Th shock sensor is built in yea thats the one thing i dont like about my viper. you either have to secure the brain very good to a side panel which will be pretty difficult or get an extra shock sensor. crunkjuice1
see if you have extra play in the wire harness, enough to move brain a bit. If you can move the brain to a bundle of your cars wiring and zip tie it to that. you might still be able to do it by undoing some of the installers tie downs.
