rusty, how much would stepping it up to a 4" coil raise the cost to build and the consumer price.

Well it would step up the price some, 4" coils are a decent amount more than 3's then you have to set up new tools for everything else to go with it, new spiders, cones. The reason I dident go with a 4" is its less efficient, The idea behind the woofer was to be able to street beat the snot out of it as well as burp with the best of em and a 3 inch coil fit the project a little better with the efficient thing :) What Ive done though to maximize its performance is most woofers use a 4 layer round wire coil, I am useing a 8 layer flat wound aluminum coil and made it as long as we could.

so could we expect a daily beating power handling of an excess of 3000 watts? although its only rated at 2000 RMS? i asked about 4 inch mainly for power handling.
