Running 12 volts off 72 volts

Right now Im working on a 2005 GEM Car.

It is a 72 volt system with self contained charging system.

S I have 6 12volt Deep cycle batteries.

Right now it have Memphis Mids and highs.

We are glassing the dash for a couple of 7 inch monitors, and I have a few more 12v goodies I want to run off this.

Now im wondering if I would be able to add a 7th batt for these items. But can I separate it from the rest of the system so it stays 12v, but so it still charges off the factory charger...

Now i dont know much about electrical... I'm kinda Googling as I go... But now Google has failed me. SMD, CAN YOU HELP!!??

If I get the answers I need then i will be glad to post up some FUUUUN pix of what I'm working on

You're gonna have to wire a custom step down transformer setup to feed the 7th battery off the 6 battery bank, with a relay system to shut he transformer setup off when the car isn't running. Don't expect this setup to be able to handle a lot of load over a long period of time as you will likely not be able to effectively draw a large load from the 6 battery bank without hindering the car itself.
