Overkill?

If you are willing to spend the money on 1 inch MDF, then get 3/4 or 1 inch birch plywood (11-13 ply) instead. Stronger and much lighter, way easier to work with too.

With what you plan on running, 3/4" MDF with a double baffle and a little bracing in the right spots will be fine.

I would use 3 layers of 1" birch, steel bracing and 3" steel rods every 8" inside cabinet along with a layer of concrete in between each layer and 1" thick of fiberglass inside and use case hardened steel aero port, plastic flexes..

If you can afford it, buy a couple concrete light poles and cut them down as bracing inside the box instead of the steel rods. Also, use titanium 3/4" bolts to mount the subs that way they don't break. Also... what about deadener?? I would use 16-20 layers of Alpha Damp on EVERYTHING in the vehicle and I would look into installing a stripper pole every 2 square feet to minimize flexing...

That would be my ideal setup for what your doing... <_<:santa:

No way I was thinking of a build similar to this. Was gonna start it in my 82 Ford fiesta twin Turbo type chex
