I have an RCA bass knob and I have the bass knob that came with the Audiopipe amplifier. I want to set the system up so the bass is controlled entirely by the bass knob and not at by the radio. 1.) can that be done? 2.) which bass knob do I use? 3.) how do I do it?
MACnonsence6 Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 run the inline rca bass knob and that will controll the signal sent to the amp but the basknob that comes with the amp kinda does the same thing so eather way ur set I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

I know some people will set the gain with the bass knob not turned up all the way up so that some songs that are "quieter" than other songs, you can turn the knob up some more to fill in the bass that's "missing". Basically to make the quiet bass a little bit louder. I don't have a bass knob on mine so I cannot really comment from experience. First System 2002 Impala LS 3.8L V6, 128,365k miles. If you are going to be using the external knob that sits up near the driver seat with you. Plug it up, and turn it all the way up. Best way to do this is set the gains on the H/U as you would have them daily just beating, and then tune the amp to those settings.
