dude I have the same car 1998 and was thinking of doing the 18s also........... what spot did you run the power cables at and pm me on the pr ice of the alt from DC............ what are you going to do whit the doors ???? hit me back we can help each otherdrinks.gifdrinks.giftrink40.giftrink40.gif

The cables are run through the firewall, just behind where the battery under the hood sits. I tried to deaden the doors as best i could with damplifier and bedliner. Going to run a set of components in the doors. The 6.5 woofer will be in stock location, and i'll have to cut a small hole somewhere in the panel for the tweeter. Gonna try and locate the crossover for the component set behinde the kick panels. Pm coming to ya shortly.

The box is finally done. This thing is pretty sturdy. :) ^^^I tried birch on this build, cause of all the positive comments on here about it. I sure hope it was worth it in the long run, cause i got a couple of complaints about it. It doesnt measure a true 3/4" thickness like the mdf i used to use and that made all the measuring and cutting that much more difficult. And secondly, which is the main reason i tried it, is because a lot of people said it was a lot lighter than mdf and i was hoping to keep the weight i was adding to the car at a minumum. I sure cant tell that its any lighter. This thing is freakin' HEAVY!!

I checked with mechman and he said all he had for my car was a 220 and i think i'm going to need more than that. Of couse, if this dc isnt going to work, i may have to. It looks like its gonna bolt up, but the electrical connections arent the same.

I had that same problem when I got my alternator from DC Power. They sent me a different adapter piece and it was all good from there!!!!
