can you run a voltage booster on a stock charging system i was thinking of getting the booster from mechman for now and later get the alt from them so the question im getting at can i boost my voltage to 15.9 to 16 volts idk if my batteries can handle it

if you have 12v batteries then you should NOT charge them anywhere near that high, 15.1 or 15.2 at the highest man, unless you want acid bubbles coming out of it

Yes you can use it on a factory alt, just not regular batteries. Like he said, more than 15v and they are toast. :drinks:
