I am looking at their new CM (Cast Mojo) line and unsure about making a decision. I don't care about the ohm load as I will base an amplifier off the sub(s) I choose. Memphis has their Dual 2 or Dual 4 ohm subs, which handles 1750w RMS on their 15's. Now they also have their 15" Quad Ohm Sub which handles 2500w RMS. The quad has twice as many voice coil windings (8, compared to 4) and an increased power handling. However the magnet size is the same, 196 oz. If i had an amplifier, that matched the RMS of either a Dual Ohm, or the Quad Ohm sub... would they sound the same or would the quad or dual be louder? Idk if its true or not but I've also heard quad ohm subs are almost always guaranteed to break easier over a shorter amount of time, true? Thanks everyone for your help!

Audible difference...possibly, but I do not think you're going to see or hear a drastic difference one over the other assuming correct power and proper enclosure. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
