subs burning and amp on fire

Recommended Posts

Sorry but your brother has some screws loose, NEVER add a ground to your amp. Only use the supplied terminals.

Use the correct gauge wiring for that amp and ground the amp to the chassis(if it's a unibody car) if it has a frame like a SUV or truck ground it there.

Rest In Peace mother.

sadly its the best amp ive had): i just recently started making enough to do my expensive hobby.what would you suggest amp wise?

i see you have those RF woofers, but what is the RMS on them and what is the resistance of the voice coils?

400 rms to 800 peak.

for future reference, when any audio product lists Peak power, it means absolutely nothing. only look at the rms figures. so you have 800rms in woofers, what about the voice coils? if you cant find that out, give us a model number for reference.

are your subs in the box? cause you said you spayed water on them.

yes, poorly made box, ports lead right to top of sub.i dropped my phone in port so i found ouit it was hot trying to reach my hand in to get it.

HUH? :trippy: Can you supply pics so we can see whats going on?

lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz.

There you go, GROUND THE AMP TO THE FRAME USING THE TERMINAL SUPPLIED Also make sure to grind the paint away. Sorry had to make sure I got the point across.

Oh also, do not run RCA's with power wire. Could cause "noise". And the gain on the amp is not a volume knob. And NEVER use bass boost.

Rest In Peace mother.
