its a completely stock s10 right now and i want to get a new headunit and subs first then eventually replace all the stock speakers.

ok well first off bff larry is right, go ahead and get 1 awg wire for this

Make sure your head unit, whatever it may be, has at least two pre amp out puts that way when you add another amp, you dont have to buy a new deck

Get a good brand of amp, i recomend a kicker amp cuz ima recomend a kicker sub(due to quality for price)

A kicker zx 400 amp, it will prolly run over on rms, my 400 was like 540

A kicker cvr 12 in a really big prefab ported box, prolly tuned under 40 atleast( order on ebay)

Then thats it for now, just hit me up when you go to an amp for the speakers and speaker upgrade. But this will be a great start. Let me warn you though! your always gonna want something louder hahahaha

better yet instead of those amps and stuff do this it will be clearer and atleast as loud if not louder

Kicker 750 watt amp(youll have to turn gain down on sub some, but its best to have the extra power so your not straining your amp)

And order a alpine type r in a prefab ported box on ebay haha

like forreal that last recomendation is gonna be your best bet i was running cheap to begin with, but that last setup will get you home haha and yeah anytime u want an opinion or knowledge just hit me up.

Why would you recommend a prefab box?

We need to know how much space you have. Are you taking out the rear seats? And where are you located? Maybe someone here can help you build a box (if you cant build your own) and make your subs sound better than a prefab box unless

no disrespect but yall just gave him a horrible list for $1500. he can get some sa 15s with a crescendo 2k. 1/0 knuconceptz amp kit,rockford fosgate mids and highs,nice pioneer cd player, xs power battery for amp, wood etc. and rockford 3004 for mids and highs for $1500. my god!

Agree'd i was thinking the same thing, his budget is $1500, not $500.
