Here are some of the questions I have about it: 1. What is clipping? 2. If you download the song from iTunes, does that mean there won't be any clipping? 3. I've heard that clipping is HORRIBLE for your equipment. I would think this is true, can anybody confirm? 4. How can you tell 100% that a song you have is not clipped? Skullz Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Open windows media player and set it to o-scope and watch it as you play your music and you'll see parts of the wave cut off at the top, that is called clipping and can damage speakers when pushed really hard so it's best to find tracks unclipped. Suppose I'll try to intentionally find a clipped track and see what it looks like for myself and then go through the songs I play most often. Thanks again for all the help guys!
