JacobHazel Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 so i have a 12 inch sub nothing big yet:/ but the box for it is really bad like its small and in closed and i think it was ported at one point and someone messed with it.. so how would i build a new box or should i just buy one and if so what are some good cheap ones

Save up the money for a SSA DCon 12 or a Sundown 8 or 10. UNDER-CONSTRUCTION ''Old School Build'' maybe it sounds like an 18 cause theres 3 fucking "port" holes ghetto drilled in the "box" 190 db when your done? Yea that's the lowest decibal ill be satisfied with when I'm done like I said its stage one and I lost my job u guys should consider shit instead of just talk it lmao

pro-rabbit Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 The enclosure will dictate the results you get in the sub stage. Your equipment will matter, but if you have a less then ideal enclosure (space and/or tuning) you will not like the results no matter if you spend $500 or $1000 on the sub setup. There are many ways to build one, mostly that would depend on your skill level of wood working and how to use tools. If you have never built an enclosure before, a good idea would be to purchase a design with a full 3D model that would allow to you see what your building and would making the process much easier for you. Just be sure the designer is good at what they do and they get you into the right enclosure for the application.
