That date means nothing. It is/was a customer service repair.

anyone ever play with one of these?
pro-rabbit replied to larrys95civic's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
They do very very well in HT applications. I have had a few in the past and that is the one driver I wish I never let go of. Not worth $1k though. They tend to sell for around $600 or so. -
Box builder near Dallas/Fort Worth?

That would be a good suggestion. What 18 are you using and what kind of room? Well It's not a store-bought sub. A buddy of mine built it. All I know about it is that it has a rockford fosgate hx2 motor. Ah I see. Well what space do you have to work with? I may be able to help you out a bit. I'm 3 hours north of Dallas and been building for 15 years or so. -
I have 4 of them in a wall behind the back seat of my blazer. I have a AQ3500D(waiting on two OA3s to replace it) at .5 ohm with rise to 1.13 I clamped the amp at 3874 on 13.2v. They take it like a champ though. Sound clean work great daily on that power..that is clean unclipped power though.

I use this, unless I need to build something much larger and quicker. Then I use poster board and just trim it to fit. Then use that to transfer the design to wood. All depends on what is going on and what I'm building. I have used a combination of both in the same build as well. Pipe cleaners should work, but it may be a tad off because of the "fringy things" on them..but nothing you couldn't trim or sand down.

There should be a few local to you that can do it. -
Are you wanting to do just a basic enclosure? If so then your "under 6x9" enclosure is the best option. If you want to do something a little different then you can build your "under 6x9" specs then add the between area to it and get a tad bit more space. Looks like you are going to have to use precision ports or similar though to get the volume you want.

4 - 4.5ft3 per sub ported would be a great start.

Someone design me a box ?! need specs ASAP

Actually it is just fine for a daily setup(I have built 100's this way). If he wants he can increase the port size, but for a daily it would perform very well. Assuming the port will be 14.5 tall it would be 5 wide which would be just a tad over 72in2 of port area. -

Just a quick idea would be 4.5ft3 with 72in2 of port area and around 28-29 long. Would put in the mid 30s for tuning and should yield some very good results. If you need or want full cut sheets a 3D design I can get one whipped up. -
