ok so heres the deal.... dont have much of a budget.... but i was trying to decide on 1 of these 2 setups. dont flame.

1. 2 xplods in my current dual 12 ported enclosure on 600w rms *and* another single 12 ported box for my mofo 122x powered by 1000 w rms.

OR

2. 2 mofo 122x in custom ported box with 3000w rms amp?

what will make better spl u think? both tuned between 40-45 hz.

number 1 would be alot cheaper as id only hafta buy the box and amp.

number 2 i would hafta buy another mofo122x, a new custom box, and a huge amp, 2 more batteries. and a couple more little odds and ends.

btw mofo 122x is rated for 1500rms and dual 2 ohm vc

Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit. If I had a whole Hertz front stage my ears would jizz all over my cheeks.

My Low Budget Build:

Green 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon 147k- $1K

headunit- pioneer premier deh-p650-$25

4 Lead acid batts. 1 up front and 3 in back- vented outside.- $50

4 vvme L11 10"s <- $30 shipped a piece

6 cu. ft box (after displacment) tuned to 32ish hz with 10 inch sonotube. -about $50 all together maybe a lil more

2 aspm 1300 strapped

Selenium 6"s in the front doors on headunit power- for now -$20

quantum tweets in door-for now -$10

boston acoustic 5 1/4 in rear doors- for now-Free

big 3

1/0 and 4awg throughout.

roof sound deadened (not peel n seal ftw)-free

on 80 amp alt (bench tested to put out 100 amps faithfully) <--?-$10 for test

about $430 for everything<----Not bad at all

still gotta add 3 way crossover, amp for front and rear door speakers and maybe eq

What is you budget I'm sure there is something a lot better for the price

Buy some better used gear !

everything i bought was brand new at the time. xplods and amp have not even a year on em. mofo 122x has bout 3 weeks on it. i like the mofo 122x. i wont switch til im makin some serious money and can afford 2 18s

my budget is probably right around $300-350 already have bout $400 in this current setup (which isnt much i know)

Techforce(a member on this site) is selling an RE audio XXX 18" for 200 bucks. Might be something to look into....

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
