Only problem I've had with this laptop, the battery is no longer working after a year...Would be nice to use this as an actual laptop and not as a desktop...Can anyone suggest the best place to buy a battery cheap for it? Product ID AA-PB9NC6B, 11.1VDC 48Wh(4400mAh) on the battery.

Also, anyone ever tried seeing if there's a way to replace the thermal paste on the CPU of a laptop? I think mine may need redone, since mine's starting to shut down on occasion on high power settings...

EDIT: Another alternative is to pull it apart and replace the cells with new ones and solder them all together, just make sure you get the right ones though. Don't mix nickle metal hydride and lithium or ni-cads so be sure the ones you need work with your charger.

But you could just use your power cable to run it, I know that you don't want it as a desktop...

I was thinking about that, since it's already shot...May give it a go if I can figure out how to pull it apart. They are Li-Ion cells...

That's what I've been doing. Just gets annoying to shut the laptop off, wait 2 minutes to unplug it, move, and plug it back in...
