strapping? i know they can be ran at .5 ohms...but by strapping, that'll make em 2 ohm stable, and i wasnt sure how they'd run strapped at 1 ohm. and i tried the whole master/slave thing...wasnt workin out for me. 2 were workin harder than the other 2. so instead i just split the RCA's and tuned the amps individually. they're maybe a tenth or 2 off of each other. so i just have each one going to a pair. eventually i want 2 more and run em at .5 ohms.

I heard that the sundowns were good down to .25ohms when strapped? but if you dont have your amps strapped then please do so!

no, i just started puttin it on today. stain was kinda thick. so i'm just gonna let it go till tomorrow.

but waaaaaaaaaaait a minute... .25 ohms stable strapped? you serious? i'm gonna have to look into that... i wouldnt know how to wire them to all 4 subs either. but damn...i'll ask on the sundown forum. tomorrow...cuz i gotta get up in 3.5 hours for work.

sundowns arent 0.25 ohm stable daily 0.5 is as low as i would go (they may take it, but not for daily abuse)

Running a pair of amps strapped at 1 ohm is the same as running each amp at 0.5

master/slave is strapping the amps it doesnt make one work harder than the other it allows them to share the load and gain controls

that never worked for me. dont know why...but i messed around with it for quite a while. split the RCA's and it worked out much better for me. i'll just leave em how they are till i get another pair

Freak the lowest I've heard was .5 now were talking .25 ohms...holy crap that has to be one serious freaking amp! What is the cost on those again? Website please...man expo I bet your sick of pulling this stuff apart and testing eh?!!!

i got mine at low-hz.com. paid 1700 for the pair. not sure about .25 ohms, but they can do .5 ohms. which is as low as i'll need them to go when i get another pair.

if you go to www.sundownaudio.com, they have a list of dealers you can call/websites to browse.

and not quite sick of it yet i like doing it all. comes with the territory. not exactly 'plug n play'. tomorrow hopefully after work i can build on it some more. monday i'm off...so more done then. then pics. but i love box building

haha i know seriously! love doin donuts, just not on the road with other cars. but i woke up and left for work at like 6 am, so roads were clear. saw them go to hell, had to shovel the sidewalk at work (which a half hour later you couldnt tell i did anything...even over the salt) and by the time i was off they were just wet from the rain. so i missed all the fun
