I know why your "master/slave" deal wasn't working. I'm suprised none of these vet's noticed what you were doing. You had the gain cranked on one amp and not the other that is why 2 were pounding harder than the other 2 and it could be alot louder if you'd set the amps up correctly. NEVER and I repeat NEVER run one amp master and one amp slave unless you've got them strapped.

The amp you had set to master was running off it's settings, and the amp you had as slave bypassed all settings and beat the fuck out of your subs -ie. gain cranked no matter where you had the knob, and such.

Add me on AIM and I will help you set those amps up. I'd hate to see you ruin a set of awesome amplifiers from "lack of knowledge" - Audiobahnaholic (aim sn)

pretty sure i had em both adjusted. since i was trying to figure it out i just went ahead and did that. but it's ok now...i have them both running to a pair with .2 tenths of a difference in output voltage. tops. just split the RCA's instead.

And each amp is running on the master setting correct?

If you want to strap them do this:

Run your RCA's into the master amps line input

Run a second set of RCA's from the master's line output to the slave line input. Set this amplifier to slave

On you slave amplifier turn your phase to 180 degrees, leave the master at 0

Run a jumper I used 8gauge from the master - speaker output to the slaves - speaker output (if amplifier has 2 - outputs run a jumper for each of them)

Run your speaker wire into your amplifiers like this master amp - Positive speaker wire, Slave amp - Negative speaker wire

Adjust all settings on slave amp to their lowest settings, adjust master amp according to your preferences and adjust gain correctly.
