yeah i know how to do all that. they have a diagram in the directions too. strapping will lose a little power tho, unless i get a maxxlink. so i'm not really wanting to strap them. was told it's not really louder for music daily, but for burps instead. plus...not sure how i'd wire 4 dual 1 ohm subs @ 2 ohms. if you even can. but i'm good as of now. till i get 2 more.

and on a side note...first post said 'You had the gain cranked on one amp and not the other that is why 2 were pounding harder than the other 2' then you said on the second post... 'Adjust all settings on slave amp to their lowest settings, adjust master amp according to your preferences and adjust gain correctly'. so...for other people reading this...you say the gain should be on both so they work the same, then you say on the second post that it should only be on the master amp with the slave on the lowest settings. even tho it SHOULD only be on the master amp, since those settings override the slave amp.

No if you strap them correctly you don't have to adjust the slave amp. But if you just run them like you had before just passing the RCA signal pretty much then you must adjust the gains, because the amp you had as SLAVE was not actually a slave because you didn't have the phase at 180, the negative jumpers, and the speakers wired like a strapped setup would. When you run rca's in then out to the second amp, if you have the second amp set as SLAVE it's running full gains because they aren't working together. Let's say this unhook one amp completely. Run the setup with a single amp, while playing leave that amp in master mode. then pause and turn it to slave and burp again. Louder? Try that then come back and see my point. So no I did not say 2 different things.

Yea but I didn't. You get how I'm saying the SLAVE amp was working harder,it technically was cranked on the gains because all you did was Daisy Chain them so they weren't working together, thus, when you had that amp in slave mode it wasn't getting any settings from the master amp.

So unless you strap them correctly like I posted pics of and stuff, leave both amps set to MASTER.

yeah that's how i have it set now. i never fully linked them before. but when i get this new box done, i will leave them hooked up as they are just so i know the settings and all that were the same, to see if the overall setup is an improvement, then i'll maybe try some different wiring options.

alright been kinda slow on the box lately. but this is what i got so far:

the piece for the double baffle. didnt take any pics of the top yet

6 layers of fatmat. this is the back side, where i'm going to mount my amps. going to put another layer of wood on top of the fatmat to try and lessen the vibrations even more.

the bracing stained...sedona red i think it is? the bottom piece is going to be birch, also stained red. hopefully more pics tomorrow sometime

that was amatt's idea. talked about things for a bit and he brought that up. figured hell...i got extra mat in the garage that'll probably never get used.
