Casting resin or fiberglass resin or what other types are there? do you just appy it and let it dry or do you got to sand it down any? toadking90 Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 id say you dont need it unless your going for huge number. 150+ unless you just feel like it i suppose... i did a bed liner on my box(15 bucks a can) and it seemed to make a difference in the sound maybe just not letting the mdf breath as much as before but its also a no brainer to apply. other than just dont do it inside your car with only the doors open( you will die as i did)...

I was thinking of resining my box just didn't know if it was worth it or needed. MDF is pretty smooth and applying a bunch of goop aint going to make it any smoother. You might get some results in the corners, especially the loading points. Loudness is no substitute for musicianship, and partial deafness is no badge of honor. I was once able to hear this advice.
