2 dual 4ohm subwoofers wiring to 1 ohm

I know it sounds easy, but! i have a hifonics brutus which has 2 outputs for subwoofers + - + - and i have a box that is seperated down the middle so i cant really connect the 2 subwoofers; can anybody put me in the right direction to make them 1 ohm. this is how a shop did it and said its 1 ohm now; + to + negative to negative into negative and postive speaker terminal on box on both subwoofers said its 1ohm in total?

you can just put one + to one output + of the amp and the other - to one of the - of the amp, either way u put it, is gonna se the same thing in the amp

my box's layout wont let me connect 2 subs together its divided by 2 seperate sections it has to have 2 outputs in order for it to work, thats why im asking for another possibility of wiring down to 1ohm

The hifonics amps internally parallel the subwoofers, so wire each one to 2 ohm then hook them up to each of the speaker terminals o nthe amplifier and it will see a 1 ohm load
