Ok so I have been driving around with out subs for a while and I thinks its about to time to get back into it. I have a 2000 ford ranger ex-cab. I want to get 4 alpine type r 1243s on a audioque 2200watt for now till i can get a new alternator and battery. What you guys think im open to change just kinda what I was thinking let me know thanks.

I wouldnt run 2200 on stock. You can but voltage will be an issue. The budget route would be to get an extra AGM sealed battery to back up the one at stock location.

What I would suggest is like I said, and extra battery. That or not running more than say 1700 or so watts rms. I know it isnt the same(variables) but I ran 2400rms (2 Audioque 1200s) and had nasty drop until I added a battery. But 1 2200 or 2 1200s your GOING to have voltage issues on stock unless te gain is down quite a bit.
