I got 2 Sundown SA's now and want to upgrade. Would a DC lvl 4 be a decent upgrade? I'll be getting 2 12's and have them each on a Crescendo 2000(doesn't mean I'll be pushing that much all the time). I looked into the AQ but they like a box around 2.5 per and I really don't have the trunk for that with everything else in there. What size box do the lvl 4's like. 2ft3 per would perfect, even 2.1-2.2 but I can't go any bigger.

How much power can these subs take? Because after box rise these will never ever see 2000 watts, maybe 1500 each, I just don't wanna blow these if they're not capable of a little more power than rated

those subs will take 2k cleanly. theyre pretty underrated. but after rise doing 1500 youll be fine. as long as its clean power.

i have level 4 coils on my level 3's and im planning on doing 1.1k to each after rise.

Lvl 4s wouldn't be much of an upgrade..my sa12s out performed my lvl 4s

Lvl 4s like 1.5 per woofer, and according to thorshammer, 2cubes is WAYY too big for them

Would I be better off just getting the SPL recones for the SA's?

Gonna be for a daily apication or SPL? SPL coils for the sa12s are really only for strict SPL applications, made to have better output at 45hz and above whereas they'll have slight roll off below tuning so you'll lose some on the lows, standard sa12s are good up to about 1.5k per woofer if it's clean power

If you do a straight woofer swap, odds are you won't see a change in ouput
