n8ball2013
I just put an AudioPipe10001d on the DD-1. I always thought this was a decent budget amp and that it put out rated power........ gain at barely 1/4 +volume at 19 of 35 (never found clip point because stock speakers and bass blockers were used, so speakers distorted before preouts could even be clipped) +2v alpine headunit in other words its barely turned up and already distorts.... maybe thats why they never called me back about their amps thd% wait so you mean to tell me that the audiopipe amps you can buy from the change you find in the couch cushions are dirty power? blasphemy I say! Decaf
Ive heard many times they do rated power, but after the dd-1 it seems like its 300w clean, the rest dirty. Gonna try to use an audioque3500 on the DD-1 today. Results later today
Decaf
pioneer avh3200/4v headunit no clipping at 1000hz, couldnt test 40hz because rear door speakers were connected, so we used 37 of 40 ss picasso amp (dont remember model, 120X4) gain ended up at 1/2 using 1000hz@-5, a bit higher than previously audioque3500 (old model) without bass knob gain ended up at about half using 40hz@-5 we had to listen to 1000hz on the tweeters connected to the headunit while testing, was not pleasant, lol. device is working great
