NotEnoughBass
My friend has one 15 in the trunk and infinity 6x9s in the deck. When the bass hits it makes the rear deck speakers distort a lot. The same 6x9s in the front doors are fine and have no distortion. They are both being run by a pioneer head unit. How can I stop this distortion? 1998 Jeep Cherokee Alpine HU Crunch Powerone 300.2 mid/highs + AP15001D bass Soon to be two OA18s Cadence coax and sony tweets Big three + All 1/0 wire Optima Yellow Top No hating on my ghetto system plz. bassrace
Cover the back of the 6 by 9's or seal them off from the trunk air and if it's the subs making them distort that should fix the problem. 145.9@40hz 145.3@34hz big 3 X2 group 34 Deka Group 31 All 0/1 awg jl meta wire Alpine CDA 7894 Orion HCCA D5000 2 AQ HDC312's Crunch gpv1100.2 (for 6.5"s only) AQ pro audio 6.5" - 3 sets AQ supertweeters - 2 sets 2000 Slamry

bassrace
You can buy covers for them, that would be the easiest route.. Or you could custom make some, really all you would have to do is make two small sealed boxes if you had extra wood and glue/glass them on the back of the 6by9's if they're that open from the trunk. 145.9@40hz 145.3@34hz big 3 X2 group 34 Deka Group 31 All 0/1 awg jl meta wire Alpine CDA 7894 Orion HCCA D5000 2 AQ HDC312's Crunch gpv1100.2 (for 6.5"s only) AQ pro audio 6.5" - 3 sets AQ supertweeters - 2 sets 2000 Slamry

XRipSticKX
you can also slap some dynomat over the bottom of them from inside the trunk.. just cover sticky part directly under the speaker with some plastic or aluminum so it doesnt stick to the speaker itself..
