michigancapri92 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Share Posted October 30, 2011 (edited) get a metal sheet sign like some people use for "for sale" set it up on a stand get a metal ball able to drop from a certain height get a 4x4 inch square of each deadener put in the center of the sign and drop the ball with a db meter at one spot and measure the sound difference ! or even better get a small gong ... something designed to vibrate and make sound ! then to test constraining layer get a 1x4 inch piece and put on stand then add square weights until it buckles in and falls off stand !!! i will do this test with out any bias if people would like ? just need to start getting some deadener pieces! i think this would be a good testing method ?
