Reasonably priced 6x9s

Recommended Posts

6x9s have better midbass than any 6.5" components. And sound plenty well for the price. Now if you are a rich audiophile you can buy a nice $1000+ dynaudio 3 way component set for your doors, better than 6x9s for sure.

I want "ok" to good sq nothing incredible something pioneer to match my 6.5s

No offense, but you're giving bad info here.

my polk audio mm6x9s sounded great when i had them but im with everyone else you will be better off getting a 6.5 comp set with an adapter plate to fit the 6x9 opening

Someone is giving me 2 free sets of 6.5 pioneers but he dropped one and broke the tweet, is there anyway to buy a single?

those are coaxials, not components. Look on audiosavings or sonicelectronix for somehing in the $75 range (around your budget i think) that has 2 woofers, 2 tweeters, and 2 crossovers all seperate from each other.

pitbullninja, it all comes down to how much you want to spend and how hard you want an installation to get, for $70 you can get well balanced full range sound and easy installation.

There is no denying that you can improve over them, the best way to know is to go and hear a few 6x9s and 6.5" components to get some idea of their differences.

My cousin got a set of *THESE* when they first came out and they sound surprisingly good on low power....reviews are pretty good also....and they are in your price range.

Actually it's pretty difficult to judge how a driver will sound in your car based on how it sounds in a "sound room"...totally different acoustics and imaging.

Would 4 6.5s coaxial on 400 watts be loud?
