im about to be running an American Bass VFL 100.1 (1500+rms) in a celica with a stock alternator. I think the alternator is around 80amps. I'll also be doing the "big 3" up front and adding a kinetik in the back. Shortly i'll be starting to run 0gauge, but I dont know what size fusing to use on big3 or the run to the rear. any help?

8O amp inbetween alt and batt(within 12" from batt). Now from batt to amp wire a 250 should be fine 12" from batt. And check the specs in the amp manual but I'd say a 150? before the amp.? And a 250 before the second batt.

Edit: I think I was wrong my 90amp alt takes a 100amp fuse soo if your alt is 80amps I think a 9O amp fuse would be best.

If you cant find specs on your alt go to autozone and ask what the stock alt is they have it in their system, so you know what to fuse the big 3 with.

no...stock up front with the big 3 upgrade, run of 0gauge to a kinetik in the back

At least have 2 good batteries and generally don't mix lead acid with agm battery's.

spl dust is an option you can get on the coils... it's great for extra 1000 watts of power

where can i get this spl dust and how much is it. is it hard to apply? lol

At least have 2 good batteries and generally don't mix lead acid with agm battery's.

i've had tons of people telling me that in a daily driver on only 1500 watts, i should be fine with the 2 different types of batteries

And tons of people from where? Im just saying from personal experience and everyone i've known it works much better with 2 matching batteries. Better safe then sorry especially on 80 amps but that's just me. :shrug:
