shogen Posted October 21, 2011 Report Share Posted October 21, 2011 So I almost forgot I had e9.65i System up until Ray had mentioned buying/building your own crossovers, and instead of cluttering the other thread... Basically acquired these for FREE through a friend who later decided he wasn't going to use them in his Miata anymore... The crossovers were damaged and corroded but the speakers test fine and sounded great the night he gave them to me... Now the dilemma is that I WILL NOT install these with the bad crossovers as I'm not that kind of dude... Here are pics of the crossovers: Corroded but not damaged one: Damaged one is missing an inductor?? I believe: ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I've already contacted edesign about crossover points which my answer was between 2.8-3.2kHz ... They also told me I could buy the set for $60... My main question is this, should I just buy their crossover(many have recommended not to, since they apparently bought bottom of the barrel parts for their components) or could I use a different passive crossover??? I've come across many on parts-express but they state the tweeter section is for a 8 ohm speaker... What could I get? THEKINGsBACK Posted October 21, 2011 Report Share Posted October 21, 2011 I got some infinity crossovers you have for 8 bucks plus shipping he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy.
