im kinda wanting the top for miscellaneous items and storage or my amps... whats better between rear and down?

you could go bandpass and port side and still have the top open and a very efficient box if you have the room

the box is more efficient if done right get a good designer like ray on here and you will get a very loud good sounding box but they are bigger than a ported box scenes its a sealed box and ported box together basically with allot of figuring to get it right some peaple call them 4th order boxes
