I'll let the screen shot describe what I'm talking about. The box is not to scale, I used paint because my sketchup skills are lacking to say the least. Here's what I'm looking to better understand. Let me know if I have this correct. Green = Area the sub will see Red = End correction Yellow = Effective length Blue = Physical length Here's where I really get lost. Where to get the values of the "?" mark. If the port's calling for 21.25" long, then I subtract 21.25" - 19.625" for the remaining effective port length, correct? Well 21.25" - 19.625" = 1.625". How does this translate into the second physical port length (dark blue)? Thanks for any help at all. That being said, the dark blue would be 3.25" since the baffle would account for 0.75" of the port? Are we on the same page now? loudNlow87 Posted October 23, 2011 Author Report Posted October 23, 2011 No.. That can't be right. That would lengthen the effective port beyond the 20.25 I entered. I think I got it now. In my particular case (seen above), there wont be a second physical port length. So, that dark blue line wont exist. It's only telling me the port bends because it will utilize the 0.75" width of material (light blue) as the remainder of the port. Wow.. All that damn thinking and I over-looked that. Correct? I hope so. Lol.
