So a small update, I decided to go active using 4 selenium 6w4p 6 1/2 speakers and 2 sets of massive ct1 tweeters. Planning on glassing the doors. Also will be getting 2 MB quart amps, the ONX4.125 (bridged 4ohm for the seleniums) and the ONX4.80(for the tweeters). Any suggestions on crossovers? I'm currently looking at the stetsom crossovers. Hopefully this weekend I will have the amp rack done, weather providing

If you have the mbquart amps you don't need an external x-over. You can wire the tweets directly to the amp.

Just got it running this morning, its thrown together temporarily, gotta finish the amp rack and clean up the wires. Im definitely impressed with the dc xl 15s seeing as its my first ported setup, very clean and loud. going to be using the dd-1 tomorrow to set the gains, and pick up a voltmeter

Damn this is pretty much exactly what I have planned for my 04 runner lol. How's she sound?

She sounds pretty badass, the surrounds and stuff are still pretty stiff, I'll be cleaning up the wiring and getting my voltmeter in tomorrow, I was in a rush to get it playing. my phone cant pick up sound well, so its kind of quiet. I used track 5 to set the gains, the compromise between sq and spl, sorry for the bad vid quality, it was getting dark outside, and ill use a better camera tomorrow if I can find it.

got the voltmeter in today, cleaned up some wiring, pulled the center console so I can start making measurements so I can build one with the leftover wood I have. I wasn't sure if i was seeing things right, but after the voltmeter was adjusted I didn't see a voltage drop. Im wired at 1 ohm without rise, so that might be why. So I tested the batteries while playing almost full tilt. I was only getting a drop of about .01 props to dcpowerinc and lifeline RV batteries.

Edit: connected voltmeter to amp, only .1 drop at 31/35 volume, gains set with dd-1 at track 5, the compensation track?

so I picked up this bad boy yesterday, Old school power 800a2 for $100 everything works, sounds great, only things are, no end caps, the label is missing on the front of the amp, paint is peeling, and whoever the guy I got it from that sold it to him fcked with the gain knobs so they're hard to adjust, I think the flathead part was stripped. Anyone in hawaii know where to go so I can get the gain knob fixed?
