8MileRoad
Please don't talk shit i know this setup is weak and is not 2 18's with 10,000 watts rms. This is a broke high school students 1st setup. Specs on Amp and Subs HERE So, 3ish weeks ago i bought the folowing: 2 12's, sealed box, & amp all for $200 I absolutely love my subs, but am already craving more power. P.S the amp that comes with the subs is 250 RMS at 2 ohms, I am currently running the subs at 1 ohm in a sealed box. So sticking with the budget should i purchase another set and have 2 amps, Each amp pushing 2 subs in seperate sealed boxes. OR Should I Feed The 2 12's i currently have more power (buy a bigger amp) also... The Subs are Rated 600 Watt RMS PAIR (so even now there not gettin half of what they should get) Edited October 30, 2011 by 8MileRoad
vettedude102
You could also build another box but ported for the subs you already have Quote 2 polk audio 4x6'skenwood head-unit 220 amp Mechman alt1979 Corvette 2003 corvette z06 alpine radio and the bose system that came stock
FroznBeavrBALLs
I would get the other set of subs and amp. Build a ported box for all of them. Then save up later and get 2 amps that will power the subs well. just what i would do. vettedude102
It's really personal preference on more power or more cone area. Do you have enough room for four subs? What kind of vehicle are they going in? Thanks Guy's This is what i had in mind, after i got another one of the packages id save up some money and build a box for 4 12'a and get a big amp for them all AND possibly use the 250 watt rms amps that come with the subs to power mids and highs? Because the amps have high pass, low pass, & full range crossovers built in. And thanks for not knot flaming my cheap system lol
vettedude102
We all gotta start somewhere. No bashing on this site ..much But it'll probably be cheaper for now to just build a box for the subs. Til you save some money for the rest. But the issue may be getting the cubic feet correct for all subs in a trunk (ported box)
